GatherBot point payouts and the overlay
How points reach viewers through donations, subscriptions and attendance, and how to put the overlay into OBS.
Two ways points go out
Points reach viewers through GatherBot in two ways. One is an automatic reward that the platform mints fresh; the other is a payout that leaves the channel vault. They are funded differently, so what a broadcaster can switch or adjust differs too.
| Kind | What it covers | Funded by | Can the broadcaster turn it off? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Automatic rewards | Donation rewards · subscription thank-you rewards | Newly minted by the platform | No |
| Vault payouts | Attendance rewards · manual payouts | The channel vault | Attendance by its amount · manual payouts only when you send one |
Rewards that go out on their own
The donation reward mints points for the donor in proportion to what they donated. It only goes to donors with a confirmed CIGT account, and it never touches the channel vault. It still goes out on channels that have GatherBot switched off or do not use the songbook, because it rewards something the viewer already sent the broadcaster — channel settings do not gate it.
Anonymous donations are not rewarded, because there is no one to identify as the recipient. Donations too small to convert into a whole point are not rewarded either.
GatherBot only receives a channel's chat and donations while the broadcast is live. Donations that arrive while the stream is off never reach GatherBot, so they are not rewarded.
The subscription thank-you reward is minted for subscribers by the platform. There are two amounts, one per subscription tier, and operations sets them. This one also goes out on channels with GatherBot switched off or no songbook. A broadcaster cannot change or disable it — but it never comes out of the channel vault either. The current amounts are shown on the point automation screen.
Attendance rewards
Signing in to CIGT marks a viewer present for that day. Typing !출석 in a channel's chat after that makes GatherBot report the viewer's attendance streak, and if the channel has an attendance reward set, it is handled in the same reply. If the viewer has not signed in yet, GatherBot says so first. Typing !내포인트 reports the viewer's current point balance. Anyone can use either command.
- The channel owner sets the reward amount on the management screen. Leave it at zero and no attendance reward goes out
- With automatic payout on, the reward leaves the vault as GatherBot answers !출석
- With it off, rewards pile up in a queue and the owner approves them one by one
- The same person's attendance on the same day is processed once per channel
Attendance rewards come out of the channel vault. Points that have been paid cannot be recovered.
On a channel taking part in the crew championship, the contribution is recorded the moment !출석 is handled. It stays recorded whether the payout is automatic, waiting for approval, or failed. But if the reward amount is left at zero, attendance rewards are off entirely — !출석 then ends without a reward and without a contribution.
Paying out of the vault yourself
Points you want to hand out directly — event prizes and the like — are sent from the point automation screen. Fill in the recipient, the amount and a reason, and the points leave the channel vault. You name the recipient by the handle after the @ in their ci.me address; nicknames are not used because they can collide.
- The recipient must be an approved crew member, a booster or a shareholder of this channel, and have a CIGT account
- You cannot send points to yourself
- A single payout is capped at 1,000,000P and the daily total at 150,000P. That daily total counts everything leaving the vault, attendance rewards included
- A reason is required and can be up to 40 characters, and you cannot send more than the vault holds
- The screen shows the vault balance and today's remaining allowance alongside the form
Paid points cannot be recovered. Check the handle and the amount once more before sending.
The old !지급 chat command is gone; this manual payout is now the only route. Payouts made back when the command existed stay on screen as an audit record, but no new rows are added, so the list empties over time and the card disappears with it.
Putting the overlay into OBS
- 1Issue and copy the overlay address from the OBS overlay section of the management screen
- 2In the OBS source list, press + and add a browser source
- 3Paste the copied address into the URL field
- 4Set the width and height to 1920 × 1080 and leave the background transparent
- 5Check the layout in the preview, then use the broadcast check button to confirm the address is live
- Toggle each element separately: the current song, the request queue, lyrics, the setlist, requester names, donation amounts, and events with the daily fortune
- Per-widget addresses let you place the current song, request queue, setlist, lyrics and broadcast events as separate sources
- Theme, accent color, font size, on-screen position and your own CSS are all adjustable
- Overlay text is rendered in the management screen's language as of the moment you copied the address. Change the language and copy the address again
The overlay address opens without any sign-in. Anyone who knows it can watch that channel's request queue and current song, so keep it out of your stream and your screenshots.
Reissuing the address invalidates the old one immediately and cannot be undone. Paste the new address into the OBS browser source and press Refresh cache of current page in its properties.
Common questions
I donated but no points arrived.
Anonymous donations are not rewarded, because there is no recipient to identify. Without a linked CIGT account there is nowhere to mint the points either, and donations that arrive while the stream is off never reach GatherBot.
I typed !지급 in chat and nothing happened.
That command was removed. Payouts now go only through the manual payout form on the management screen.
Does the crew championship score still rise if I do not turn on attendance rewards?
No. With the reward amount at zero, !출석 ends without a reward and no contribution is recorded. Once the reward is on, the contribution stays whether the payout is automatic or waiting for approval.
My overlay address was briefly visible on stream.
Reissue it from the management screen right away. The old address stops working, and you will need to paste the new one into your OBS browser source.
